Semi-hermetic screw split type devices operate through the synchronized rotation of multiple intermeshing screws connected to an electric motor drive shaft, which continues the process of suction and compression of the refrigerant fluid between the gears. They feature a semi-hermetic design and can be dismantled for repair and maintenance. They are typically preferred in large-capacity systems. They are very efficient compressors in variable load and capacity cooling systems thanks to capacity control valves. These are single-compressor systems.
These types of compressors provide cooling capacities ranging from 20Hp to 320 Hp. They can be used in rooms requiring low pressure (cold storage and shock freezing) and high pressure (cold storage and ambient cooling).
Common applications include rapid shock freezing (blast freezer) rooms, rapid cooling rooms, and industrial facilities with high cooling capacities.
