Semi-hermetic piston split type devices are compressors with semi-sealed construction, using leak-proof gaskets, and featuring an electric motor and mechanical parts that can be dismantled and repaired. They typically provide cooling capacities ranging from 3Hp to 60 Hp. These are single-compressor systems.
These types of compressors can be preferred in industrial facilities as well as commercial refrigeration. They can be used in rooms requiring low pressure (cold storage) and high pressure (cold storage and ambient cooling).
Common applications include small areas such as hotel rooms, kitchen cold rooms, butcher rooms, bakery rooms, milk coolers, as well as large industrial facilities such as cold air plants.
